Garru in The Blue Crystal Rod
Garru (ガールー Gārū), also written as Girru, is the god of fire and justice.
Appearances[]
The Blue Crystal Rod[]
In The Blue Crystal Rod, Gilgamesh and Ki can talk with Garru at his temple located in the Hanging Gardens, which is suspended in sky above the Burning Cliff. In most story paths, Garru will gladly assist Gil and Ki on their quest, but in a few paths, he may test or oppose them.
Garru's fate varies depending on the player's choices. One of the better outcomes has the bridge connecting the Burning Cliff with Garru's temple fixed, making it easier for humans to visit his temple. The worst outcome for Garru is when Gil becomes evil and kills him to absorb his divine power, with Gil becoming an evil god comparable with the demon Druaga.
Seme COM Dungeon: Drururuaga[]
In Seme COM Dungeon: Drururuaga, one of the initial decks is named after Garru, which contains seven cards: Axe Knight, Goblin, Green Slime, Black Slime, Stone Axe, Leather Armor, and Potion of Healing. When the card "Summons on Garru" is used, Garru appears and makes the card's user invincible for 8 turns.

Etymology[]
- Garru appears to be based on the Mesopotamian god Gibil, also known as Girra, both names derived from the Akkadian word girru, meaning "fire."
- Garru's name and appearance appears to be based on the 1980 book Deities & Demigods, where the spelling of the Babylonian fire god is Girru, and the hero Gilgamesh shown before him (as each region has their entries sorted in alphabetical order) is presented as a shirtless muscular man with long hair and beard.
